As a therapist you need to be able to leave whatever is happening in your own life at the door and concentrate on your clients needs. You also need to be able to keep confidences and able to reassure clients and instill trust between client and therapist
Barbara Rowland said:Liz, you have been my therapist for a few years now (how many?) and I would recommend you above anyone else. You are highly skilled and qualified, passionate in what you do and above all you instill a sense of calm, even when you're client is climbing the walls! You have extensive knowledge about the different therapies and you are a good teacher. So, what do I think makes a good therapist? Someone like Liz, whom you can trust in the knowledge that she is an expert and a great healer.
