Thanks for the sound advice , I do use that forum as well as the StarTrekGuides one which also has plenty of mods on it.
Yes Rosemary I am using a style but its the overallheader file that contains the customisation of the top end of it and that is what I need sorting. I am sure I will get there :)
Once again thank you for the tips, much appreciated

The place to find out is the forum on phpbb.com. There is a massive community of users and there's a huge amount of expertise, lots of written-up and tried and tested mods. I'm sure you'll either find wha you want or someone who can do you a pro job. One word of caution: it's essential to keep phpBB up to date in order to stay secure, so if you're paying someone to mod your forum you should check that your mods will carry over to future versions (which don't usually change much, version to version)

Hi Paul

Bt the look it the ioverall look look of the frum is controlled by style sheets and not by PHP. I assume you have looked at the range of styles available on their website

I am not an expert on this forum but i think you can load up your own header and recommed alicat designs if you need any one to design the header . where do you want the banners to go? as that may be more tricky if the forum is not designed to have banners where you want them to go. hope that helps

absolutely Newbie question here, I have a phpBB3 forum and I need an expert for someone to redesign and build a custom header for my site integrating a background image along with 2 banners in the overall_header file. I would appreciate some pointers on this or a rough idea of what cost I should be paying to get this done.
