It looks very good to me, I can't see much to criticise. Do I recognise the OSCommerce template?

Just one tiny niggle: the gimmick of the box drifting over to the cart when you press the Add button is a good bit of feedback, except that it has to happen right away if it's to help. On my machine at least, there was a noticeable pause when I thought "did that work?" before the javascript kicked in. Maybe it would be worth while adding a more conventional sign of success, like the button changing to "Added," that will appear instantly. I always say you can't give the public too many pointers; telling them twice or three times is only just enough.
Hi Runesmith,
Thanks for your reply, yes, elements of OScommerce template still exist in the theme now adapted and running in Prestashop,

I will look at speeding up product box to cart app, I agree with your point on the "ADDED" to add cart button change as soon as I've finished content and links directory upgrades I will add this.
Hi Sean,

Thank you for adding your site for review, hopefully you will find my comments useful, and some of the other content already included on CompilaExchange.

Firstly, I think your site has a nice modern look, good quality images and some good elements for new and existing visitors, to feel trusting. So I don’t think there is anything major for you to look at, but a couple of my points I would recommend doing.

1) Top Section

This is the part that contains your logo, search facility, Cart etc. I would recommend dividing this off from the rest of the site. So may be have a dividing image or line between this and the main content of the site.

2) GoogleAdwords – Recommended

Unless this is bringing you in a great income, I would remove this altogether. Firstly the ads do not seem to be related to your content, and I would not recommend having something on your site that could potentially take your customers away from your site. i.e. They could see something there that interests them, click on it and they may get engaged and forget about your site.

3) Page Title

Try to utilise this better, by adding keyword rich titles (max 60 characters), as this is one of the most important parts of search engine optimisation.

4) Visa Image

This seems to be repeated in your bottom left hand image, may be try to remove it and add a different logo inside.

5) WorldPay

I see that you are using WorldPay for your payments. As they charge you a percentage on each transaction, plus an annual fee, I would recommend that you take a look at SagePay – http://www.sagepay.co.uk. They charge a flat rate, of around 10p per transaction and it does not matter if the transaction is for £1 or £1000 in value.

6) HTTPS Error – Recommended

When I clicked through to checkout, I got an https error, which indicated that some of the content is being passed via http:// instead of https://. This is bad because potential clients might be put off, they may be believe their details are not secure and go elsewhere. Having investigated this further I believe it is the Google code below that is at fault.

src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js

As you can see the URL is http:// and I believe this is what is throwing up the error.

I hope that you find my suggestions useful and if you need any further advice please let me know.

Regards

Harvey
Hi Harvey,
Thanks for your feedback and suggetions,
Yes the https security message is being caused by google adsense module (now uninstalled).

The Visa logos are part of worldplay compliance (credit, debit, electron) I myself would have preffered
one visa logo they say we must display all cards we accept, (will defintely investigate sagepay)

Have changed the page title

I will experiment with dividing line between info-block and the rest of the site

Again I thank you and much appreciate your current and any future feedback and suggestions

Best Regards

Sean
