Now that you have joined CompilaExchange, there's so much to do and see. Explore our community and become an active member by adding content. You'll meet new people and contribute to it's success.

1. Write a blog post

You’re My Exchange page comes equipped with your very own blog. These can be discussions on you, your web site, your business, your industry or anything else that interests you. You can write about anything you want! To get started, go to your profile page and locate the "Blog Posts" module in the middle column. Click the "Add a Blog Post" link.

2. Add comments

To interact with other members on CompilaExchange, you can add comments to their profile page or any of their photos, videos, or blog posts. Don't be shy - if you see an interesting photo, a funny video, or a blog post you agree (or disagree!) with, let the author know by leaving a comment.

Just type your thoughts in the "Add a Comment" box below the piece of content you're commenting on.

You can also leave a comment on any member's profile page. Comments can be seen by any member, so don't use them to post personal information. They're perfect for welcoming a new member or checking in with your friends.

To comment on someone's profile, go to their profile page and locate the Comment Wall in the middle column.

You can add text, links, images and files to comments, so have fun!

3. Upload photos, videos, and music

The fastest way to add content is by using the bulk media uploader to add photos videos, and music. Adding media is a great way to share content.

Using the bulk media uploader, you can add up to 100 photos, 30 videos, or 100 songs at a time.

We support the following formats of media:

Photos: .jpg, .png, and .gif file formats
Videos: .mov, .mpg, .avi, .3gp and .wmv formats
Audio: .mp3 format.

You can also embed video directly from YouTube, GoogleVideo, or any other site.

To get to the bulk media uploader and to add photos or videos, go to your profile page and click the "Photos" or "Videos" link in the left column of the page, under your profile photo.

4. Join or create a group

You can use groups on CompilaExchange to meet people with your interests or in your region. To browse existing groups, go to the Our Groups tab. Once you find a group you like, click on it to view more information and to join! If the group is public, there will be a link in the top right of the page where you can join the group.

If the group is private, you can send a request for an invitation to the group creator from the group's page.

If you don't see a group you'd like to join, create your own! Just go to the Groups tab and click the link at the top right of the page to "Create a group."

Fill in the required fields, marked with a red bar, for your group. Click "Create group" and your group will be published. Don't forget to invite your friends to join.

5. MarketPlace

This is a great area for you to add details of your products or services. It is very simple to use, just select the category that best fits and add details of your services. There is also a Special Offers section, may be you are promoting something or have a seasonal offer, let everyone know here.

6. Your Q and A

If you have a question that you need answering why not ask our members for help? It is very simple to add a question and hopefully someone will be able to answer this for you. If you know the answer, please help out other members. The answers can then be voted for and the best one chosen.

7. Your Vote Counts

You can add suggestions and vote for subjects like the best photo, best video, best blog etc. However, you can add your own suggestion topics. It is very easy to get started by going to the topic and Adding a Suggestion. I will see if we can add a competition element to this, where the subject with the most votes wins a prize. Any suggestions for this will be greatly appreciated.

There is also a new Poll facility. I have added one to start, "Do you visit and participate on Social Media sites?" However, you can also add your own. So if you want to do some research or are interested in a specific subject please add Your Own Poll, it is very easy to do.
