"Stress, How does it affect you?

In today's busy and hectic lifestyles its not so easy to see the cause and effect stress has on us. It affects everyone whether its comes from home or in the workplace. It is the bodies natural reaction to excessive pressure or other types of demand placed on people and affects everyone differently. What may be stressful to you may not be to someone else and vice versa. We as individuals all react differently to stress.

What does matter is how you help manage the stress, whether you are an individual, retired, unemployed, employee or an employer. Take back the control of your wellbeing and start improving your quality of life!

Dealing with and managing stress can be aided by understanding what stress is, identifying where the stress is coming from, learning relaxation techniques, meditation, prioritizing and much more. Once learned the benefits can be reaped again and again!

What can you do?

Education and practical intervention such as individual therapies & workshops, corporate workshops, onsite body therapy services. These could have a dramatic effect on enhancing the lives of individuals, employee's and employers. Thereby positively impacting on quality of life, improved health and attitudes, increased productivity & profits and controlled absenteeism /sickness levels.

Where does it come from?

Family issues & arguments, family demands, family needs, relationships
Money problems, neighbours, schools, bullying
Unemployment, redundancy, new job
Interviews, learning a new skill, getting a new boss
getting married, moving house, buying a car
Work - targets, deadlines, pressures, new colleague

These are just a few, the list grows and grows the more you ask !

How can you tell if you suffer from stress?

Symptoms of stress can include:
Finding it hard to concentrate and make decisions
Being short tempered, tense, low tolerance levels
Sleeping badly, feeling tired most of the time, lethargic, run down
Depressed, minor things become huge, out of proportion
Feeling stretched beyond your limits and unable to cope
Drinking and smoking more in order to get through the day
Feeling that you've achieved nothing at the end of the day
Suffer from fatigue, aching limbs, headaches, panicky
Often off sick from work, no commitment, attitude change,

If it is prolonged, stress can lead to:
Poor mental health (e.g. anxiety, depression)
